Space Holder - Digital Detoxes for women

Having worked in PR and Communications for the last 20 years, I'm pretty familiar with the overwhelm that can come from being constantly connected. In 2022, I turned off my phone and walked for 45 days along an old pilgrimage route across Spain. Two years later, I set up The Switch Off - a space for women to disconnect from technology and reconnect with themselves.

By running short, silent, digital detoxes, I hope to give women a moment of calm and self-reflection in an otherwise hectic schedule. Our silent (no-talking) sessions are ideal for those days when you want to be left alone but not be alone. They incorporate a glass of wine, (simple) creative activities and gentle background music.

Ultimately, The Switch Off is rooted in the age-old concept that by removing distractions and embracing silence, you give yourself space to explore thoughts and ideas (instead of hiding or running from them).

Whilst I don't claim to have all the answers (and am still working on finding that elusive inner contentment myself!), I'm a big believer in the power of silence and hope to encourage more women to regularly find a moment to stop and reflect.

What I love the most about my work?

In today’s fast-paced, digital world, it’s easy to lose touch with who we are and what we truly want from life. I love giving women a much-needed break from screens, and the time and space to get to know themselves better.
