Connie Crawford

Therapist, Yoga Teacher

I am a qualified psychosynthesis counsellor offering online support to clients in the UK and internationally. My approach is holistic, taking into account the ways in which the state of our mind, emotions, body and spirit influence our experience of living. Through working with me, we’ll explore and address how your past experiences may be keeping you stuck and preventing you from making lasting positive changes that get you closer to living the life that you actually want to live.

One of my main interest areas is the issue of self-abandonment: how many of us have learnt to abandon ourselves under the pressure of relational and societal conditioning. Through my work, I help you to examine and undo these patterns so that you can discover and reclaim who you actually are so that you can live the life that you actually want. Prior to working as a counsellor, I have worked as both a lawyer and a yoga teacher and both of these experiences influence my approach to counselling. Alongside my capacity to offer an analytical style of counselling if that is appropriate for you, my legal background supports me to understand and empathise with those struggling with career-related stress, burnout and work-life balance issues, as well as behaviours such as perfectionism and fear of failure and fear of the unknown.

I bring my yoga and breathwork expertise into our sessions in order to support you to deepen your awareness, manage stress by regulating your nervous system and connect more authentically with who you are. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression or burnout, are feeling disconnected from yourself or are having trouble with your relationships, I provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space to support your journey of growth and healing towards greater authenticity.

What I love the most about my work?

What I love most about working as a counsellor is the process of developing a supportive and resilient relationship with each of my clients. Whether struggling with burnout or heartbreak, depression or crisis, I hope to provide clients with a space where they feel seen, heard and safe enough to explore their stuff and move towards a more authentic expression of who they are. I welcome it all - tears, confusion, stuckness, as well as moments of relief that give way to laughter - and I feel so incredibly privileged to do this work.

Working Strategically with your Nervous System

In this talk, we’ll explore how to understand and work with your nervous system to cultivate resilience, balance, and wellbeing. Through practical tools and insights from neuroscience and somatic practices, you’ll learn how to navigate stress, regulate your responses, and foster a deeper connection with yourself. This session will empower you with strategies to work with, not against your nervous system.
